One Of The Most Depressing Things I’ve Ever Done
As you could probably tell, for a guy with no job.. I was pretty busy today. With everything but the blog. It was already one of those days you wish you could just rewind, and then it happened.
Before I tell you what happened, let me inform you that I was born, raised, and live in the South. I am 100% Southern. I have actually spoken the words “Hold my beer and watch this!” I live for college football. I can eat my weight in cornbread. Feel free to insert your own “cousin” jokes here, but I have lived to the age of 35 without doing the one thing that apparently every other Southerner has done. 1/2 mile from home I hit a deer. Driving a car for nearly 20 years down here without hitting a deer would be akin to being a member of Congress for 20 years and not picking up a single hooker. So I guess I’ve been lucky so far, but I feel horrible tonight.

That’s terrible bud. I’ve been there myself, only growing up in upstate NY. How are you? Did you get hurt at all?

I’m from GA. My family collects deer. In fact, I actually lived in a place and you know what the name was: “Deer Lake”. Most people hit deer going 55-60 mph down a back road, my dad backed into one. BACKED INTO ONE. How stupid can one animal be?
“Oh look head lights and a horn! Let me run out in front of this, looks fun.” Dumb ass deer.

Relax buddy. It happens sometimes. And you have been just fine. Maybe you think you are lucky to escape, because you have been a good gentleman till now, so you got benefits from God. I don’t know why, but I believe in this philosophy - Good happens to you if you do good, bad if you do bad….
